1. Pelagius believed that people are born with a neutral will. In other words, people are unaffected by the fall of Adam and only do wrong as a result of bad influences. How have you seen this view evidenced in society?
2. Do you believe that people do wrong as a result of bad influences?
3. Do you agree that people are born neutral? Why or why not?
4. It has been said that all people are born Pelagian until they are told otherwise. Do you agree? Please explain.
5. Do you agree with the Pelagian view that man did not inherit the sin of Adam? If not, how do you reconcile your view with this verse?
Ezekiel 18:19-20, “Yet you say, ‘Why should the son not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity?’ When the son has practiced justice and righteousness and has observed all My statutes and done them, he shall surely live. The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself.”
